Faenza depurazioni plant serves mainly Tampieri vegetable oil and Tampieri green energy. Yet, for several years now one third of the water treated here has come from outside customers.
This represents a valuable service for the local area and the Emilia-Romagna Region, as otherwise such water would be hardly treated so close to its source.
Also, it results in significant savings of prime resources which, once treated, can be returned to the surface water network, thus benefiting local farmers.
The rest of the water is discharged back into the Group's industrial site, where it is used for such ancillary purposes as fire-fighting, washing and cooling.
Operating in such a way as to preserve resources, not only within the Group, but also along the supply chain and at the customers' premises. Creating virtuous cycles, as well as protecting the environment, has always been our mission. Within the Group every production process is ethically sustainable and aimed at protecting the local area.
Treating our own water, especially when there are large quantities of it, is important, because it eliminates the need to transport it elsewhere. As a result, the only tanker trucks to visit the site are those of external customers, which means a significantly lower environmental impact.
All the water used in our systems is carefully treated until it falls within the limits prescribed by the legislation in force.
Each phase of the work undertaken by Faenza depurazioni is constantly monitored by two different laboratories, one inside and the other outside the company. This double-checking system ensures that at any time legal standards are fully complied with.
Faenza depurazioni considers the environment, its safeguarding and sustainable development as strategic drivers and goals to pursue for the development of its activities. The company is fully aware that a responsible economic strategy for environmental issues, arising from its activities, is essential for its success and customer satisfaction.
The environmental policy of Faenza depurazioni sets out these principles and defines the goals and either the actions that the company intends to put in place.
